Sale of fruit trees, what fruit is worth buying?
Nursery wholesalers take care of all customers and often their very different tastes. For this reason, the assortment of wholesalers can be really wide - starting from peaches, pears, strawberries, old and new apple varieties, to cherries, cherries or healing berries, which in recent years have enjoyed a large and still unflagging interest. It is a fruit that impresses not only with its amazing aroma, but also with a juicy taste.
Spring planting of fruit trees
The date of planting fruit plants depends primarily on the method of cultivating the nursery material. We can buy material with a bare root ball or plants that have been planted in containers. Late fall or early spring is the period when we plant fruit trees and shrubs from bare roots. We will achieve the best results if the purchased specimens are still leafless. Delayed spring planting (when the plants have already started their growing season) produces worse results, trees and shrubs may not catch on. This problem does not occur if we have plants in containers - we can plant them practically all year round, the only limitation is frozen soil.
Quality of the material is a guarantee of success
Plants to be planted in gardens or plots should come from trusted sources. We avoid trees and shrubs offered by supermarkets. There is a very high probability that the plant material will have dry or frozen roots. Drying the roots equates to the fact that the plant will not take hold, even if we properly water it. Acceptance of trees is also influenced by their proper transport from the nursery to the place of planting and subsequent storage. The smallest roots and the above-ground part of the plant undergo drying out the fastest. A hint to the gardener should be the appearance of the young bark, if there is one wrinkled and dull, this means that the plant has lost its turgor and may have problems settling after planting into the ground. Before planting a tree or shrub, it must be soaked in advance - preferably for 2-3 days.

Apple trees without anarchy bear large, plump and brown fruit with uneven color. Apples are relatively juicy, but also sufficiently firm, suitable for consumption at the end of summer. The archless apple tree is a solid type of seedling not susceptible to parasites. Jabłonka is great for extreme ones temperature and is an expression of widely announced demands for environmental protection.
Old varieties of fruit trees - Why choose them? We are more and more willing to return to what has been proven. We want a return to natural, healthy ecological
solutions. For this reason, old varieties of fruit trees are again very popular. Growers are very fond of old varieties, which are no longer seen today
apple trees etc.
Why are old varieties of fruit trees so valuable? Especially the dessert and yearly yielding varieties are of great interest. New varieties trees are mainly: apple trees, grafted on vigorously growing rootstocks, were replaced with plants of limited growth, grafted on dwarf rootstocks. Unfortunately, the new ones varieties are often much less resistant to bacteria and pests. Often they are also simply weaker and less viable.
What is known and proven The situation described above makes that more and more often the cultivation of proven, long-lived varieties of fruit trees is being cultivated. These are the varieties of fruit that are more resistant to diseases and pests and require less treatments cultivating. Particularly popular are large apple trees - they used to grow in almost every farmyard. Professionals who know the industry more and more take into account Attention is also paid to the recovery and continuation of the cultivation of old trees that have survived here and there on the plots. Behavioral organizations operate efficiently in Poland and abroad old varieties in places where they were traditionally grown. The first such organization in our country began to function in 1995 in the area of the Landscape Park The Lower Vistula, and to this day, it is cared for by members of the Society of Friends of the Lower Vistula. One of the effects of their activities is the establishment of a collection of old apple varieties in Chrystkowo.
